“memoQ has transformed how we handle translations, adapting to both small and large projects. It streamlines our workflow, allowing us to work efficiently while maintaining high standards. Why memoQ?

Siroko’s in-house team of translators manages translations into 15+ languages, with plans to expand further in the coming years. As their localization needs grew, so did the complexity of their workflows. What was once manageable, juggling Excel sheets, sharing files via Google Sheets with translators, and maintaining consistency during reviews, soon became overwhelming.

Recognizing the need for a more efficient system, Siroko turned to memoQ TMS for a robust solution to support their expanding operations and meet increasing demands.

Adapting to Change

Transitioning to memoQ TMS came with some challenges. Siroko had to adopt an entirely new system, invest time in training, and navigate inevitable mistakes along the way. One of the most significant tasks was uploading a substantial volume of previously translated content into memoQ to populate translation memories and establish a strong foundation.

Fortunately, memoQ’s support team made the process much smoother. With access to online materials, memoQ academy, personalized calls, and the willingness to independently explore the platform, the team found the journey rewarding.

Strengthening the Team and Freelancer Collaboration

The cost savings from using memoQ TMS allowed Siroko to improve the rates offered to their external freelancers, demonstrating their appreciation for the freelancers’ hard work. Transitioning freelancers to memoQ’s web platform was also seamless. The platform’s intuitive and user-friendly interface helped even less tech-savvy translators feel comfortable and eventually enjoy working with the tool.

Transforming Workflows

The shift to memoQ TMS has brought numerous improvements to Siroko’s operations. Tasks that were previously handled manually, such as maintaining terminology and ensuring consistency during reviews, are now automated. This has saved time and energy, allowing the team to concentrate on managing projects, organizing workloads, and delivering high-quality translations.

Collaboration with freelance translators has become faster and more efficient. The improved communication facilitated by memoQ’s platform has streamlined workflows and fostered better teamwork. Additionally, automation has significantly reduced errors that were common with the previous system, ensuring more consistent and reliable results.

By leveraging translation memories, Siroko has achieved considerable cost savings. They no longer pay per word for repeated text, enabling them to reinvest these savings in their team and external partners, further strengthening their operations.

Measurable Transformation

The benefits of adopting memoQ TMS are evident in Siroko’s measurable results: cost savings of approximately 20–25%, turnaround times reduced by about 40%, and a productivity increase of roughly 30%. While harder to quantify, translation quality has also seen an estimated improvement of 30%, further enhancing Siroko’s ability to deliver exceptional localized content.
