Alexandra Princzkel

Alexandra is a proven marketing enthusiast with a master's degree in marketing, more than ten years of experience in marketing, and five years of leadership positions in marketing. Before joining memoQ in 2018, she gained experience in other industries - media, telecommunications, entertainment, and IT. She has worked mostly in digital marketing but has also been involved in strategies and operations for event marketing, including workshops, conferences, and other promotional events. Alexandra created and led a lifestyle blog for three years, tapping into the world of inbound/content marketing, and began leveraging the power of SEO—an aspect of digital marketing that remains a continual source of fascination for her. Alexandra is responsible for all aspects of marketing and communications at memoQ, including digital, brand, print, PR, social media, and events. She also works with HR to enhance memoQ’s employer branding capabilities. Alexandra sees her most important role as leader and mentor of memoQ’s talented team of marketers - a team devoted to growing brand reputation and supporting revenue growth.

Zsolt is responsible for the services provided as part of memoQ’s primary offering: memoQ translation software and Language Terminal. Zsolt and his team ensures that memoQ’s back-end systems run smoothly and that the latest technology is always available to the general public. He is constantly looking to improve the company's systems to better support our users and business model. Zsolt has more than 20 years of experience in IT. He previously worked as Chief Information Officer in regional government offices in Hungary. Before his appointment as Services Manager, Zsolt contributed to the development of memoQ's products as a software designer.

Production Manager

Florian joined memoQ in 2013 as Development Manager with responsibilities of managing the development team, and contributing as a senior developer. Prior to that, Florian co-founded and managed PASS Engineering for almost 20 years, and in 1998 he got involved with language technology when the company introduced a leading software localization solution. Since 2016, Florian manages the development of memoQ, WebTrans, and QTerm.

Kata joined memoQ with deep experience as an HR consultant. A certified Work- and Organizational Psychologist, she specialized in recruitment, learning and development, and organizational development projects. She joined memoQ in 2021 as Head of HR. Her focus is building a strong organizational culture, making memoQ a great place to work, and ensuring that our processes and policies support people in fully realizing their effectiveness and potential.

Support Manager

Márton Horvath is memoQ’s support manager leading his team that provides support to our worldwide customer base. Márton joined memoQ in 2010 and was appointed as our first manager of the support team at the beginning of September 2012. In his free time, he is an active gamer, and he particularly enjoys playing with games developed by some of our customers.

Judit Árvay is a linguist with a marketing background. She has 25 years’ experience in account management for diverse industries. Judit joined the memoQ team in 2015 as account manager for the Americas. Beginning early 2019 she added the responsibility of Sales Supervisor and later became Sales Operations Manager. In October 2020, Judit assumed the role of Head of Sales, leading and guiding a team of talented, smart, and fun people from 14 cities in 10 countries on 3 continents. Her approach to leading a diverse, dedicated team is to remain calm; look for solutions; find points of agreement; keep people safe and happy; share kindness and expertise; and foster an environment of support and motivation.

Zoltán Honti

Zoltán Honti

Zoltán is an accountant accredited by the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). He started his career at PWC in the field of audit and corporate finance. During his career, Zoltán has held various financial management roles in the IT and telecom sectors (Nextra, Keystone, T-Systems). Prior to joining memoQ he was CFO for an international organization. Zoltán currently heads the finance department at memoQ, managing day-to-day financial activities and long-term financial strategy for the company.

Balázs Kis

Co-CEO

Balázs is one of the founders of memoQ, with decades of experience in IT, translation, and natural language processing. He has a degree in IT engineering and a PhD in applied linguistics from the University of Pécs. He also holds certifications in compliance and in mediation. At the start of his career, he was a Microsoft systems engineer and trainer and one of the prominent Hungarian IT authors with over 20 titles published. He was also the head of research and development at MorphoLogic, and taught translation technology at ELTE University of Budapest. Balazs has extensive experience in collaborative translation and project management. In 2019 and 2020, he has been member of the board of directors at GALA. Before taking on the co-CEO role in August 2020, he had been memoQ’s chief compliance officer for two years.

Peter is a localization industry veteran who joined memoQ in 2008 after working for Berlitz, Bowne Global Solutions, Lionbridge and Idiom Technologies Inc. Peter was part of the team which originally developed XLIFF and was the first secretary of the XLIFF Technical Committee at OASIS. Peter was project editor of ISO 17100 and was convener of the ISO working group which deal with translation from 2017 to 2020. At memoQ, he is a co-CEO.
