Ágnes Varga has been with memoQ for more than 10 years. She worked on memoQ as a software developer, and after 7 years she went to the other side to be a Product Manager for translation memories. Now she is the CTO and leads the Production department where memoQ is created.
Marianna’s journey into the language industry started out by earning a degree in German and Latin. Since then, she became a seasoned translation and localization industry professional, and a Certified Localization Project Manager with over 15 years of experience in project and team management.
Having worked for three of the top Hungarian translation agencies, she has been a power user of memoQ, and joined the team as a Product Manager in 2021.
Balázs Kis is one of the founders and co-CEOs of memoQ. His training includes an engineering degree and a PhD in applied linguistics, and he has been active in language technology since 1994. He also spent ten years in technical publishing and at one point, he was the most published Hungarian technical writer. As memoQ kept growing, he responded by picking up new skills such as compliance or mediation. These days he enjoys working on AI strategy and the company’s vision.
Balázs is one of the founders of memoQ, with decades of experience in IT, translation, and natural language processing. He’s got massive experience in collaborative translation and project management.
Zsolt earned his MA as a double major of English and History in Hungary, then spent six years in Texas, where he earned his Ph.D. in History and taught in secondary and higher education. After his return to Hungary, he worked as an ESL teacher and freelance translator, then as translation team leader and linguistic expert for Hungarian LSPs and a college instructor of CAT tools.
He joined memoQ in 2016 and is currently one of the proud Product Managers of our flagship product. His hobbies include swimming, hiking, sim racing, and motorsports.
