Peter Reynolds - CEO

Peter Reynolds is CEO at memoQ and has previously worked at Idiom, Berlitz GlobalNet, Bowne Global Solution, and Lionbridge. Peter has been actively involved in the development and promotion of standards for over a decade. He holds and BSc and an MBA degree from Open University and is a localization and translation industry veteran.

Balázs Kis - Chief Evangelist

Balázs Kis, is one of the founders and owners of memoQ. Originally an engineer in computer science, he later earned a doctorate in applied linguistics. Since 1994, he has been involved in translation technology and language technology research and development. As a member of MorphoLogic in the 1990s and 2000s, he participated in numerous projects in this field. Additionally, Balázs spent ten years in book publishing, where he managed IT books and was one of the most published Hungarian technical writers at the time.  As memoQ continued to grow, he expanded his responsibilities with new professional knowledge in areas such as compliance and mediation. Currently, he works as Chief Evangelist, where he is responsible for memoQ's high-profile professional communication.

Marianna Nagy - Senior Product Manager

Marianna’s journey into the language industry started out by earning a degree in German and Latin. Since then, she became a seasoned translation and localization industry professional, and a Certified Localization Project Manager with over 15 years of experience in project and team management.

Having worked for three of the top Hungarian translation agencies, she has been a power user of memoQ, and joined the team as a Product Manager in 2021.

Gábor Bessenyei - Senior Product Manager

I have always been enthusiastic about the combination of languages and computers – two totally different worlds. One is human and always escapes from the trappings of rules, the other is very formalized and is driven by rules. 

I started my career in 1994 as a translator for SAP software. Between 1997 and 2001, I was IT manager, translation coordinator, and member of the board at SAP Hungary. Since 2001, I have been the founding managing partner and CEO of MorphoLogic Localisation, a language service provider. I am co-founder of Globalese, a Neural MT system focusing on custom MT engines. Since September 2024, I am Senior Product manager at memoQ, responsible for MT and AI related topics. 

As memoQ continued to grow, he expanded his responsibilities with new professional knowledge in areas such as compliance and mediation. Currently, he primarily works on memoQ’s vision and strategy related to artificial intelligence. 

Zsolt Varga - Senior Product Manager

Zsolt earned his MA as a double major of English and History in Hungary, then spent six years in Texas, where he earned his Ph.D. in History and taught in secondary and higher education. After his return to Hungary, he worked as an ESL teacher and freelance translator, then as translation team leader and linguistic expert for Hungarian LSPs and a college instructor of CAT tools.

He joined memoQ in 2016 and is currently one of the proud Product Managers of our flagship product. His hobbies include swimming, hiking, sim racing, and motorsports.
