Patent Localization Challenges at ILCT
Patents are often full of repetitive terminologies, phrases, and even entire sentences. It would be a crucial advantage for a translator to re-use previous translations.
Before implementing memoQ, ILCT’s translators would receive a terminology list to search through while translating the documents. For each technical term, they would need to manually look it up in the terminology list. This step is error-prone and burdensome.
